Chronic eosinophilic pneumonia is an idiopathic condition characterized by extensive filling of alveoli by an infiltrate consisting primarily of eosinophils. Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP) represents an immune reaction to inhaled organic antigens. The possible sources of these antigens are diverse and include microbes, animals, plant material, and various chemicals. There are three possible presentations of HP: acute, subacute, and chronic. Radiology Department of the Rijnland Hospital, Leiderdorp and the Academical Medical Centre, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Publicationdate 2007-12-20. It may present as organizing pneumonia, eosinophilic pneumonia, fibrosis, hypersensitivity pneumonitis or even as ARDS.

Histologic findings are those of nonspecific interstitial pneumonitis. Diagnosis of hypersensitivity pneumonitis was based on radiologic and clinical findings. Patient had positive results for Aspergillus precipitins, but specific etiologic agent for hypersensitivity
In fact, hypersensitivity pneumonitis can be a rare cause of episodic fever of unknown origin, defined as recurrent, unexplained bouts of pyrexia interrupted by afebrile periods with apparent disease remission of at least 2 weeks’ duration . The fevers may be as high as 104°–106°F (40°–40.1°C) . Radiology Department of the Rijnland Hospital, Leiderdorp and the Academical Medical Centre, ( i.e. hypersensitivity pneumonitis, respiratory bronchiolitis, centrilobular emphysema ).

Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP) Farmer's lung disease (FLD) is a form of hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP) caused In acute phases, the chest X-ray can be normal or show diffuse pulmonary The radiological presentation of HPI may be different from the more common HP in our setting and run their course with less clinical affectation on the BPT. There is no 'gold standard' test for HP diagnosis in all its forms; epidemiological, clinical, and radiological findings combined with 10 Mar 2020 Radiology is playing a more crucial role in this process; recently the headcheese sign was recognized as a more specific for chronic-HP than the Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP), also known as extrinsic allergic alveolitis , is subjects and interstitial infiltrates on chests radiography in 5% of all breeders.
Several diseases can cause BAL lymphocytosis —including sarcoidosis, infections, rheumatologic disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, radiation pneumonitis, drug-induced pulmonary reactions, cryptogenic organizing pneumonia, and NSIP—but in the appropriate clinical setting this finding is strongly suggestive of hypersensitivity pneumonitis. Etiology Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP), also known as extrinsic allergic alveolitis, is an immune-mediated inflammatory form of diffuse interstitial pulmonary disease caused by inhalation of various antigens that affect susceptible patients. Subacute hypersensitivity pneumonitis (a.k.a. subacute extrinsic allergic alveolitis) develops when hypersensitivity pneumonitis continues beyond the acute phase (i.e. continues for weeks to months) and still has the potential to resolve with tre of hypersensitivity pneumonitis with the radiologic find-ings. Identify the most important abnor-malities indicative of hypersensitiv-ity pneumonitis at chest radiography and CT. Abbreviations: BAL = bronchoalveolar lavage, IPF = idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, NSIP = nonspecific interstitial pneumonia, UIP = usual inter-stitial pneumonia Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP) is a diffuse granulomatous interstitial lung disease caused by inhalation of various antigenic organic particles [].HP is often difficult to diagnose because the clinical manifestations are nonspecific and the radiologic and histologic patterns can mimic those of other interstitial and small airway diseases [].
